10 Resolutions You Can Decide From

Resolutions are one of the best ways to decide on things you want to surely do the rest of your life. A lot of times, we do make resolutions but we don't really follow them. The key to following resolutions till you achieve success is to decide on really small goals which would bring in great impacts in your daily life.
Here is a general list of things which might be your resolution for this year. I hope that it helps.
1. Stop procrastinating. If you are anything like me, you procrastinate a lot. For everything. And also, you know how it is harming you. You want to stop that habit, too. But you push that over for later, too! New year resolution is going to be an awesome occasion to finally decide on to become less of a procrastinator. Difficult it would be to follow, yes, but not impossible.
2. Become kinder. See. A lot of people are already in lots of problems that you have no idea of. Let's try making the world a better place by being kind to people around us.
3. Read More. The more you read, the more intellectual you become. The better the books you read, the more you would want to read. So make it a resolution to read as many good books as you can.
4. Saving more money. If you never have a decent amount of money in store, even after getting adequate pocket money/salary, and still you dream of buying something expensive, you need to save money. That beautiful dress in the mall or that lavish restaurant shouldn't stop you from saving money. Cut down expenses wherever you can.
5. Be more organised. If your things are all over the place, it is one of the reasons why you won't be able to work efficiently. Why not decide to be tidier? Keeping your surroundings clean is important, and save me the efforts to explain it's importance. Being more organised would also mean that you need to keep your day organised, which would lead to a tidier work. Being more organised would also mean to keep your thoughts organised before reacting to situations.
Maybe, you need to take that up as a new year resolution?
6. Start taking more responsibility of situations. Things will not always happen the way you would want. That should not give you a reason to blame things on others, nor should that give you a reason to give up on your plans. Resolve to accept flaws in things, in everyone, in yourself. Resolve to work harder for yourself.
7. Getting over your insecurities. Everyone is insecure about something or the other. What if, things don't work out a certain way? What if someone does something I wouldn't like? What if I fail to do something? Get over your insecurities. Don't overthink about things that are at the most “likely” to happen.
8. Good habits like getting up early in the morning, sleeping early, eating healthy, drinking more water, etc. Cliché, I know, but I also know that basic good habits make a great impact. What I mean to say is take care of yourself more than anything and anyone. You need yourself more than anything.
9. Leaving bad habits, like drinking, smoking, excessive caffeine intake, etc. Bad habits are a pain because we feel we might never get rid of them. The good news is, we always can make or break habits. So why not break some bad habits? Again, let's take care of ourselves effusively. Let's take a baby step towards loving ourselves more by deciding to break the bad habits.
10. Working towards the goal. All of us have a goal, that we had decided we would work on “whenever we would have the time to do it”. Maybe a new business venture, or a new hobby to work on, or learning a new language. Anything. Let's start working towards that goal with the advent of this new year.
Surely you might want to have other resolutions, but everything boils down to the fact that you need to follow them.
In the end, it's only a new year. The year changes overnight, and not you. Everything you decide to do is going to take its own sweet time. All you can do is work towards your resolution and be someone better by the end of next year.
A very happy new year in advance! May you keep your resolutions till you achieve perfection.

  1. "The year changes overnight, and not you." I won't (actually can't) give up on procrastinating, but will try to lower it maybe? Anyway, procrastination is the key to creativity.(alert: I'm not promoting procrastination!). These are the things I decided to do last year and the following years so at the end thank you for reminding me. It's good that some people remember small yet very important things. Great work! Keep up!
